Nick Lowe + support from Tom Webber

Friday 18th November

Tickets £49.50   | Doors 19:30

Somewhere in London a musician carries the keys to the musical kingdom. In his Technicolor sonic scope are all kinds of sounds, from rock to country to soul to pop. Nothing is off limits, as long as it has a groove and goodness based in reality. The musician has been performing for 40 years, but is as fresh today as the first time he stepped on stage. There are no tricks or short cuts here. Far from it. His songs are as solid as the earth, yet carry no lingering hype or heaviness. The musician is Nick Lowe, the headmaster of British rock.

Support from Tom Webber

Tom Webber picked up a guitar at the age of 12 and his career as a performer started as a busker in Oxford when he was just 15. He is a young man in love with great songs – growing up listening to The Beatles, Beach Boys and Madness, he started out playing covers – rockers and love songs but now well on the road in writing his own material. There’s a hint of Sam Cooke’s silky voice but he has a style all of his own, and a dose charisma that’s won him an instant following. Tom has developed into one of the most recognisable new young singer songwriters  – he’s supported Nick Lowe on his UK tour, played Nells and Jazz Café in London, supported Deacon Blue and Richard Hawley, appeared at Isle of Wight Festival, Glastonbury, Henley Festival, Cornbury,  Readipop, Womad, Truck Festival, The Big Feastival and Bunkfest across this Summer.
“This chap can single handedly save rock’n’roll in 2022 –
I believe in Tom Webber and so should you” – Club Velocity – Reading
“This boy has genuine talent” – Gary Crowley, BBC Radio London
